Kerry Davis is an award-winning photographer who was born, raised and currently resides in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. He has been fascinated by photography since he built a pinhole camera he found in a magazine as a child. In the mid-'90s he started experimenting with his father's mid-60s Zeiss Ikon before buying his own SLR film camera.

Over 5 years as a Graphics Designer improved Kerry's technical and Photoshop expertise. A trip to Europe in 2008 prompted a switch to digital and a renewed increase in interest. In 2012, Kerry joined the Cowichan Valley Camera Club where he was encouraged to enter competitions. His photo “Broadway & Cambie” won “Runner-Up Best in Show” at the 2013 Cowichan Exhibition and his image "Abandoned" was selected as one of the "Best of the Best" at the 2014 Cowichan Valley Fine Arts Show.

Lifelong interests in art, nature and technology have come together to hold Kerry's interest in photography. His images complement his political activism as he strives to portray the dynamism of humanity and nature in order to bring awareness to their vulnerability.
